Accware was formed early 2008 by Berwyn Myers, a Chartered Accountant and SAP Certified Associate, to provide Financial Director and Business Consultancy services to small and medium sized businesses.  

Why are we in business?

Having spent over 20 years in Finance and IT services, Berwyn recognised that small to medium businesses sometimes lack the expertise, time or resources to maximise operational efficiencies within their organisation.  He realised there were important gaps in the range of business services currently delivered by a single provider.  This meant that business owners may need to engage 2 or 3 separate companies to meet their needs for financial, business and IT systems. He set about creating a number of strategic partnerships with professional services organisations who could provide support in their areas of expertise, thereby providing a comprehensive solution for business owners to improve their operations efficiently.

Accware’s mission is to facilitate business owners in finding financial systems appropriate to their requirements, so that they have the tools to achieve their ambitions.   

Berwyn Myers FCA 

After qualifying with Spicer & Pegler (now Deloittes) in 1985, Berwyn moved into industry, gaining valuable experience as a Company Accountant, within the Swinton Insurance Group of Companies before joining E K Williams Limited in 1991.  In the early part of his career with EKW, he managed a team of business consultants providing a range of business services to SME’s within the petrol retail industry. 

Having a keen interest in maximising the use of IT for business profit, he headed up the IT department managing a number of key business & IT related projects, which included the redevelopment of legacy systems, hardware ‘rightsizing’, data migration and software developments as well as driving through many business and process improvements, before being appointed Director of IT & Finance in 2000.
